How do we make AI align with the truth and honesty?

Every man and woman have made a model of the world in their own minds. The brain is an insecure protection mechanism and it is continuously looking to revalidate itself. So it filters information on what it already knows and believes to be true. When information that contradicts its current assertions appear, it tends to write them off as anomalies.
